Too many schools wait until a teacher breaks down before offering support. But by then, the damage is done.

Wellness isn’t a luxury. It’s a prerequisite for sustainable teaching. And it should be built into the culture—not offered as an afterthought.
This means protected planning time, access to mental health services, fair workloads, and supportive leadership.
It means recognizing that human beings cannot pour from an empty cup—and shouldn’t be expected to.
If we want teachers to stay, we need to stop treating their wellness as optional. It’s time to lead with care—not just compliance.
